Frequently Asked Questions

Where are lessons located?

Lessons are located at 923 Mississippi Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37405

Do I have to provide my own instruments?

It is ideal if you have your own instrument to use in your lesson with the exception of piano students. Having your own instrument helps maintain a steady and successful practice schedule. Often, with instruments such as guitar, having the appropriate size is crucial for the student. Your instructor can help you research and find a reasonably priced instrument to help you further your skills.

How late/early can I schedule my lesson?

You can work with your instructor to schedule a lesson at anytime that works for both of you.

Are any discounts offered?

At the moment there are no discounts offered.

Should we continue lessons during breaks?

Yes! Not taking lessons usually means no practice time at home. Months, even weeks, of not playing will result in a noticeable decline in the musicianship level of the student. We don’t want you to lose those hard earned skills!

How often should I practice?

This depends on the age and goals of the student. A beginner should practice at least fifteen minutes a day, at least five days a week. As a student progresses and the music becomes more difficult, the amount of practice time must increase to ensure satisfactory progress. Your instructor will help you set up a practice schedule to help you succeed!

Do you teach adults?

Yes! We teach all ages. It’s never too late to learn an instrument!
